As a teenager in the 80’s cruising was big in the Central Valley, and Julio was part of that lifestyle. Cruising around in a 82’ Cutlass Supreme, then a 87’ Mitsubishi Mighty Max mini truck. The Weekend ritual of cruising Roeding Park and Kings Canyon in the 80’s and 90’s was alive. Julio stepped away from the lowrider scene as life responsibilities came into play. After raising a family, Julio got back into the lowrider scene with “Mary Jane 64” the show stopper. Having a complete frame off restoration done at SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics, with new pinstripping, murals, chrome, and the rest is history. Mary Jane 64 is one of many custom lowriders to come out of SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics shop.

Anthony, AKA “Tone,” has been modifying this 1963 Impala since the late 90’s. Tone traded his little brother a truck, and $500 dollars for this Impala. The original 63’ was wrecked but saved by refurbished parts from a couple of other Impalas they had and new parts to turn it into a 64’. Constantly modifying and adding custom parts Tone added interior, hydraulics, and custom Champaign Gold paint.... although it needed to be painted a few times due to hydraulics braking and knocking out the quarter panels. In 2010 he changed it all up with a new color and patterns from Champaign Gold to a Blackberry color and blue patterns on the roof. It was a whole new game for Tone and now his 64’ Impala turned into Gangsta Boogie. After breaking the frame from hopping, he decided to do an off frame restoration that lasted 2 years. In 2019 Tone joined Fifty 1 Fifty car club and the following year it was brought to SNK for a touch up on the paint and a whole new pattern set up on the roof, hood, trunk, and sides. Where else to get the work done then SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics. Kip knew that the color he wanted was Brandy Wine with a Galaxy Grey strip on the sides, because his dad has a 56 Chevy Bel Air that had the same color. The next thing that he wanted to add was 22” Forgiato wheels, which gives it the perfect stance. Now that name for the Monte Carlo…..what else then Sunset Sport! Sunset Sport is one of many custom cars to come out of SNK Shop.

Abel and Veronica bought a 71’ C10 to flip…. and continue Veronica’s 1981 Monte Carlo build, but the Monte Carlo ended up getting sold. Instead of flipping the C10 they decided to create a C10 that they could share with the family. They purchased this 1971 C10 in 2018, and Veronica had just the right colors for her new ride, gray with red interior. After getting a new 350 engine and transmission for the C10 it ended up at SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics to get started on the complete restoration. Still unsure on how Veronica wanted the build, they let Steven do what he does and design the truck for them. Steven knew she wanted gray so he went with a grigio silver with a red kandy ice pearl with red subtle pin stripping to go with the red interior, and this made this C10 one of a kind. But, Steven couldn’t stop there…adding a two pump hydraulics system and put the whole thing on 14x7 true spokes with a spare tire in the bed. The last thing is what to call it….as family oriented as Abel and Veronica are they had to call this 71’ C10 “This Is Us”. This Is Us is one of many custom builds to come out of SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics.

For about 5 years Daniel friend asked him to buy his 69’ convertible Impala….. In the early 90’s when Daniel’s buddy first ask him to buy the car Daniel didn’t want to, but after 5 years and asking and half of what he originally asked for Daniel bought the car and on the first drive the car broke down just around the corner. This 1969 impala stayed primmer for the first few years, then he had a buddy, from Orosi, paint the car red fully patterned w/pin stripping in the late 90’s. Daniel showed it but it wasn’t winning the awards that Daniel wanted, and one day (after the Arizona Super Show in mid 2000’s) heading home and almost having an accident, the car came loose and was damaged in the trailer. Daniel thought, no better time then now to repaint it. So he called Steven (at SNK) to change the color to Kandy Gold, fully patterned & pin stripping and murals done by Andy at Atomic Air Designs to complete this award winning 69’ Impala and what better name then Estilo Azteca. It has been about 13 years since it was painted and it still looks amazing. Estilo Azteca is one of many to come out of SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics.

Adrian fell in love with G-Bodies when he was a kid. His friend had an 87’ Monte Carlo, and that’s when he knew that he wanted one. When Adrian was in high school he was able buy a 84’ Monte Carlo. After high school, life came along and brought him a beautiful family and he had to sell his his ride. In early 2000’s, he came across an 86 (one owner, in San Jose) Monte Carlo with only 20,000 miles and the factory air still blew cold. He offered the guy 3k but the guy didn’t want to let it go for that so it was a no deal at the time. A few weeks later (while in the grocery store) the guy called him and said “I’m in Visalia, you still want it?”. So his wife and him left the store, with the groceries in the cart, and went to meet the guy. Adrian finally got his dream car, and for the first year all he did was put Dayton wheels and drove it. Lowriding Culture is about family, and all of Adrian’s family was involved with his new car. From the chrome engraved wheels and trim to the paint, patterns, color, and interior. Having a Lowrider is not cheap, but Adrian has been blessed to be able to fulfill his family dream in creating a beautiful Monte Carlo that they can all enjoy. It was a long road to get to this point, 4 painters and 15 years later Adrian brought it to SNK shop, and Blood Diamond emerged. Just like any Lowrider owner, Adrian is looking to add more to Blood Diamond for his family to enjoy. Blood Diamond is one of many custom cars to come out of SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics.

If you have read about Steven on the website you will have learned that he has painting cars for over 30 years. He is one of the best when it comes to building and painting lowriders, and building and painting lowriders is in his DNA. Steven has built and painted some of the best cars in the lowrider scene, and has done so many favors for people because of he has such a big heart. If you are a friend of Steven you know that he will go above and beyond for you. Steven tore down his lowrider over 10 years ago and has been without a lowrider since then, but that all changed just a few weeks ago. Steven purchased a 78’ Monte Carlo that was built by FB Kustoms (from Bakersfield)), but he had to put his own flavor on it. Changing the wheels to chrome engraved, new speakers, new brakes, new batteries for hydraulics. That was not all of the flavor…..Steven patterned out his whole ride, and adding pin stripping by Dillon from DP Line Art (from Sacramento). All of this was completed within a month after shop hours. There is still more to come, but this is the beginning for El Presidente and founder of Fifty 1 Fifty Kustomz Car Club and owner of SNK Auto Body & Hydraulics.

Gilbert built a new chassis in 92’ when he got a Rodeck 651 ci motor and transmission. The original car was a sand dragster, but after Gilbert got a hold of it….it was a record breaker in the drag strip. Gilbert met Steven and Angie years ago when their young boys were playing pop Warner football, and it wasn’t a good start. But, after Gilbert learned that Steven painted and build cars they became friends. Gilbert built his dragster for NE 1 class in A.N.R.A. (American Nostalgia Racing Association) and he raced for year, but in Spring of 2022 season opener Gilbert and his team won the Opener at Famoso Dragstrip in Bakersfield, CA.

Growing up with lowriders all around you from the day you are born, it is hard not to love, want, or build one. Johnny B always wanted a lowrider and when he was 19 he found a one owner low mileage 1981 Regal that he could not pass up. This all original 1981 Regal was his daily driver, and everything worked like it was new. Putting on spokes and adding hydraulics to change the look, but still keeping it original. After a few years of driving it around he bought a Chevy truck and he parked his Regal. I was parked for about a year but when he went to drive it things started to brake down on it. So he parked it again and that gave him time to think about what he was going to do with it. Working on it with his dad on the weekends sanding and blocking it, Johnny B had been thinking what he was going to do to it to bring it back to life. New paint, new interior, a whole new look it what he was thinking. While he was slowly bringing it back to life he was talking to a few friends about what he wanted to do and seeing a couple of cars that he liked for the color combinations. Silver and black it what he was thinking, and his buddies thought Raiders!. Being the Niner fan that he is, he could not go silver and black…so he thought red. One day at a carshow he saw a lowrider red-on-red, and what better name ,to his friends that thought silver and black,….Redemption!
